Reverend Boogie

First playing as a guest DJ at Hellzapoppin’ in the early 1990s, Andrew Hall

(DJ Reverend Boogie) was also resident DJ at award winning London club Hula Boogie, as well as being guest DJ/teacher at various clubs & weekenders around the country and abroad. Expect a VERY varied mix of worldwide music from the 1930s and up as far as the early 1960s from swing, RnB, RnR, to Kwela and Calypsos. Simply perfect for our roots music weekend!

Andrew also runs classes, social dances and other vintage events in Canterbury, Wingham, Bishopsbourne, and elsewhere in East Kent.  He specialises in teaching 1940’s/50’s style Jive in the Canterbury area as well as a variety of other swing and vintage dances; particularly enjoying introducing people to the lesser known but popular at the time and fun dances such as the One-Step, Partner Conga and Calypso.

You’re in a for a real treat and do try to have a dance with Andrew if you can grab him as it’s just SO much fun!
